Helping communities help themselves
NSW South Coast volunteers helping improve the daily lives of those who are vulnerable in our community
Supporting communities to develop grass roots sustainable projects, such as ‘Social Cafes’ which provide regular nourishing meals, social interaction and links to support
Partnering with local organisations that help to relieve homelessness and isolation, such as providing temporary accommodation
Recent projects of Reaching Out Foundation
Pearls Place in Pambula was initiated by the Reaching Out Foundation in 2015 and it quickly attracted the support of local volunteers and donors to flourish into a lively and successful social café.
It is run by a local steering committee and volunteers, opening one day a week and serving quality meals to around 50 people each week.
You will be welcomed at Pearls Place every Wednesday from 12.00pm at the Masonic Lodge, Toalla St., Pambula.
Youth at Risk
Through our local fundraising we have provided the Social Justice Advocates with a fully functional caravan to assist them in providing temporary accommodation to homeless youth.
The Social Justice Advocates work with the South East Women and Children’s Services to accommodate women and children fleeing domestic violence.
